"I learn to shoot in very small spaces, right on top of my subjects. I think that's important, especially when you are doing portraiture, because those images work when they are really intimate. When you are shooting from too far away, you can lose touch, and the photo becomes more about grandeur. That steps away from the essence of portraiture or fashion and becomes more about creating a beautiful picture. Most models like an intimate connection."
